My Lovely January Finish

Hey Guys!

I have been very busy this month!  The Lovely Year of Finish is really helping me stay focus on my goals.  You can check out more finishes at this flicker group, which is called A Lovely Year of Finishes and is sponsored by Sew Bitter Sweet Designs.

I am surprised I got done what I did do and now that I think about it …I feel very accomplished!  I know I am improving with my sewing.  For example, I think I am doing much better with my binding and being consistent with my quarter inch seam.  They say practice make perfect.  Enough of that!  My goal for this month was:

“This month my goal is to complete a project I started last year.   I need to quilt and bind two baby quilts and make matching burp cloths”

Well here are the finishes!

These Burp Cloths are made of Gerber Baby Diapers. I decided to leave one without fabric.

This quilt is sized at 35 inches by 40 inches.

The first project I completed for Project Quilting is also for the baby.  You can read more about that go HereHere  and Here…oh and Here. ;0)

I am just a girl trying to be crafty. Well really a woman but my thoughts are girly. I am embarking on a journey. I hope to complete all of my goals, share and learn from others.

  8. I love the Bella range – I have a pile of fat quarters sitting in my drawer waiting for the ‘right’ project – and your work has certainly inspired me to get it out and have a play with it again! It all looks beautiful – well done!

    • Good for you! I have made so much with this fabric I am feed up! I am still working on a larger Scrappy Trip Along for the grandmother of that baby! Hopefully I will be writing about that soon.

  9. Love the baby blanket and it is such a nice finish for january! I wasn’t as productive but I did get some progress made on my to-do list.
