Hey Guys,

Today on a whim I took the Bag Making Basics.  I purchased the kit and have had it sitting in my stash for awhile.  This class was wonderful and I had a great time making it!  Here are the finished results:

I really like the colors of all the fabric.  The fabric comes from the the Liberty of London line.  You can find it here.
Close up of the zipper pouch.  It’s Lined!

The tote bag is also reversible and has a pocket!  Hello!  I cannot believe I made a pocket.  i am sure it is not  THAT big of a deal but to me…ground breaking ;0)

Well, that is all for now.  Tomorrow, I will be back with some blocks!   Totally playing catch up!

Until then, Sew Pretty!

I am just a girl trying to be crafty. Well really a woman but my thoughts are girly. I am embarking on a journey. I hope to complete all of my goals, share and learn from others.

  1. Cute! I signed up for the class too, but have not looked at it yet. You did a great job. Go right ahead on with that pocket you made. That is so a big deal, especially when you tackle and conquer a skill!

  2. Isn’t bag making fun? I am completely hooked on it.
I love the zipped pouch – looks fabulous!

  3. I’m most impressed by the zipper…they scare me to death! I avoid any pattern with a zipper, because I am so afraid I will ruin a project at the end!! Congratulations on the project completion.

  4. Way to go!! Some day I’m going to make some bags, too. Gotta get my quilt UFOs under more control first!
