Hey Guys!

I am really in love!  Let me first talk about the fabric.  I used chambray essex linen for the exterior fabric and salmon Kona solid for the interior lining.  The pockets is where all action happening!   I lined each pocket with a precious piece of Tsuru, which I purchased from Fabricworm.  Here a peek of my pockets!

I am in love with my pockets!  Next month, I will be making a matching weekender ….it’s going to be amazing!  The Dot Dot Dash Bag pattern can be found at Sew Sweetness, she also makes the Areoplane bag.

That is not the best part about the bag, the best part was my husband’s reaction.  He was really impressed and this morning, I received a text from him.  Here is the whole conversation:

Him:  I would love for you to make me a dot dot dash MAN bag.

Me:  Hummmmmm maybe we can look

for a pattern for a man bag.

Him:  It comes to be shorter and wider.

Me:  Shorter?

Him:  More like rectangle.

Me:  I would make it with an olive canvas and copper-colored metal zippers.

I think your bag should have a flap like your fossil bag.

Him:  I like a zipper and a flap

Me:  You like alot of things Hun?

Him:  Trophy husbands do

Me:  You are a trophy!  Thank God you are TOO heavy to be on a shelf

Him:  LMAO

He really makes me happy!  We have similar conversations every time I finish something!  That is all for today, I am linking up today at Sew Cute Tuesday at Better Off Thread and Fabric Tuesday at Quilt Story.  If you are visiting from there, please let me know!  Comment and I will go check you out ;0)

Until next time, Sew Pretty!

  1. This turned out just gorgeous!! Isn’t it great to have a supportive husband? Mine is too!

  2. Your bag looks really good. Your husband sounds very supportive of your craft. ..much like mine is (though he has no other choice) 🙂

  3. What a great bag! I love the feather print lining. My husband isn’t interested in any of my sewing but he does let me ramble on while he sort of listens 🙂

  4. love the bag and all those zippers (which scare the heck out of me…). Great fabric choices and wonderful surprise when you unzip!

  5. Visiting from Sew Cute Tuesday! Wonderful project! Love the conversation… LOL!!!
    Thanks for sharing
