A Gift From A Bloggy Friend



Hey Guys!

I got a package in the mail today.  I was not expecting anything so I was pretty excited!  The box was from my Bloggy Friend Caroline from Lalinsocal!  I took pictures as I was opening it….let’s see what’s inside!




When I opened the box …I found lots of Pink!  I LOVEEEEE PINK!  Let’s see what was inside all that pretty pink tissue paper….

It’s a perfect in every way!  I love all the fabrics and how purposeful it is.  I think I will make my grocery list on my new pad!

  1. I named my blog Pretty Lady Baby because the Happy Husband calls me that.  He calls me Pretty Lady Baby because my son calls me Pretty Princess Mommy.  I suppose that is his response to Pretty Princess Mommy.
  2. I served 10 years in the Army.  Six years in the Active Army and four in the Army Reserves.
  3. I have a German Shepard names Zeus that has been trained to be my stalker.  He follows me around all day!
  4. I bake yummy cupcakes.
  5. I drive a Prius.  It saves me money on Gas so I can buy extra shoes, :0)
  6. I sell things on Ebay when the Happy Husband says no!  My trash your treasure!
  7. I like blankets.  I always have, I think that is why I like to quilt!

Work In Progress

Hey Guys!

Do you remember these pictures!  I have been racking my brain on how to put these block together.  This week, this will be my WIP.  Today I finished sewing white squares around them all.  This will be a set for a friend who ALREADY HAD THE BABY!  I am so disappointed in myself for not getting it done sooner.  Hopefully tomorrow I will have some real progress!

Project Quilting with A New Out Look



Today I will be finishing up my blocks for Project Quilting and letting you all know my progress later tonight.  I have 2 days and 13 hours to get it done and I am feeling optimistic.  If I keep this up I wonder how many finishes I will get do this year?  What do you guys think of my NEW LOOK. Well the Post Office Lady made my day yesterday with FOUR packages for me!  Here is what I got! The links are below each picture

Twill Tape from Fresh Modern Fabrics.  I like to makes bags for the quilts I make and I though t this tape would be perfect to use as bag ties. Here is an example from my flicker page.  Maybe I will blog about that?

A Lovely Year Of Finishes

My Goal for January

This month my goal is to complete a project I started last year.   I need to quilt and bind two baby quilts and make matching burp cloths.
